Gemma is my little sister. In 2011 Gemma was diagnosed with metastasized cervical cancer, despite aggressive treatment Gemma lost her battle but regained her Independence from Cancer on 4th July 2012. Gemma asked me to help her in her journey as she came to terms with her illness and what lie ahead. I can honestly say that it has been my honor and privilege to have been apart of her journey. She is a true inspiration to me & I know my life has been changed as a result of her courage. The void left in my heart I don't think will ever be healed but I take comfort in the knowledge that she did not look at what she would be missing but embraced and cherished the gifts she had in her life, especially her most precious gifts that being her 3 beautiful children Matthew, Emily & Ryan. I will all miss you now and forever but knowing you are safe in the arms of the angels will help in some way ease the pain of loss. My world is a better place for having had you in it... Then Gem came to stay with us with Ryan last summer and she so wanted to go to the beach but did not think it would be possible to get right to the waters edge in her wheel chair... WRONG... Man she loved it there and the smile was extra broad that day having been to the sea side... Gem & I and then all 4 of the Coyle kids at Gem's last summer. Happy happy days x x x x
